Julian Caine's Profile

Personally - I am a transplant from New York and although I have lived all over the east coast (NY, NJ, PA, DC, FL) I consider NY Home.  But I settled here in ’91 after swearing I would never subject myself to another cold winter in NY.  I will always consider myself a New Yorker as I believe you can take the man out of the city, but never take the city out of the man.

I try to be a very honest person, brutally honest.  People say I have no tact at times.  I have no internal dialogue.  It comes in my head and shoots out my mouth.  It's the New Yorker in me!  This  is something I struggle with, but hopefully continue to improve on. 

Some of the things I find beautiful in the world are a child's laughter, Sunsets, Beaches, animals, being on a boat on the ocean with the moonlight glistening on the waves and the sound of my cat purring while curled up in my arms.  I am a Buddhist for nearly 20 years, but I consider it a way of life and philosophy NOT a religion.  I am very open minded, but don’t particularly believe that organized religion is very useful as it tends to always end up with an extreme point of view, which is bad whether you are an Muslim extremist or a Evangelical Christian.  But I am a firm believer that everyone has a right to their own views, provided their views and beliefs stop before infringing upon mine.

Professionally - I am a film producer, talent manager and photographer in the LA area.  I have over 15 years experience combined experience with some of the biggest studios in Hollywood including Universal, MGM, Spelling, Viacom, Castle Rock as well as  my own independent productions.  My experience includes script/story development, budgeting, producing and finance and accounting and even a little IT.

My first film "The Eliminator" was produced with Tritan Northstar Entertainment and released by Artist View Entertainment in 2004.  It starred Michael Rooker and UFC Heavyweight champion Bas Rutten.  We are currently in production on new film and have several in development to shoot later this year and in 2008.

I also manage actors and models.  I am always looking for new talent to work with who have that special je ne sais quoi.   I will assist with portfolio development, school/teacher selection, agent procurement, corporate and tax planning as well as ongoing career development. 

I have recently (over the last few years) begun to delve into photography as a hobby and sometimes even for profit.  Although I started out with film, I have switched completely to digital.  I enjoy photographing beautiful things, whether they be a sunset, animals, nature, a classic Ferrari and most certainly beautiful women.  I shoot a wide range of material including artistic, fashion, editorial, glamour portrait and landscapes.  As I continue to grow  in this field, I am always looking to collaborate with talented models, makeup artists, stylists and designers.  I have an ever-growing list of projects that are in various stages of planning.  Feel free to contact me if you are interested in working together.
